Crystal Lake Wilderness

This is the owner of Blue Mesa Guide Service most favorite place to fish in the Rocky Mountains. Crystal Reservoir is the third body of reservoir water located in the Curecanti National Park region. This body of water is virtually unreachable by vehicle and can only be visited by foot traffic along one backwoods trail. What means is this body of water is rarely fished by anyone. There are numerous huge rainbow, brown, lake trout and few Kokanee salmon throughout theses waters. The owner of BMGS uses a motor powered inflatable boat specially equipped to handle the waters of this remote lake region. The waters are only accessible by a carry-in boat and motor power. These waters can be fished either by spin casting rigs, trolling and Fly fishing techniques. These are self guided waters please call the Curecanti Park Service for current boating and fishing regulations before you venture into this area. The down stream waters are fast and heavy below the dam so exercise extreme care
